Education 2010

Language Arts is the basis for elementary education, and it is important to develop in students a love of reading. This is not always an easy task. In my school students are required to read every evening, they have a student library where then can get books at the end of the day, and are rewarded for reading. At a recent book fair, instead of looking at the toys that were part of the display, they all were interested in buying books instead. This held true for all students from Kindergarten to Fourth Grade. They were excited by books!!!!!!!!!!!
This post is part of the MAT@USC Hope for the holiday’s event. Did you have an experience or witness something in 2009 which gave you hope for the future of American education? If so, please see this post for more information on how to share it.
